freii at the republica 2026 in Berlin

05/20/2026

From 18 to 20 May 2026, freii was present at re:publica in Berlin with a special presentation: with our own stand, we were able to introduce Villa Schöpflin’s media prevention programme to a wide audience of industry professionals and engage in discussions on how young people can engage with digital media in a confident, critical and self-determined way.
A major highlight was our talk on re:publica Tuesday (19 May): in front of an audience of around 85 interested listeners, we were able to present freii’s approaches and successes and share valuable insights for practical application.
We also had a prominent visitor at the stand itself:
Dr Eckart von Hirschhausen (re:publica speaker and supporter of freii) spoke directly with the team on site and actively promoted the programme. We are delighted to have received this fantastic support.
The discussion with Federal Minister Karin Prien (Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth), who also visited our stand, was particularly valuable. The conversation about our work at Villa Schöpflin and the freii programme has once again shown us just how important and in demand low-threshold media prevention is for families and schools.
