On 11 July 2026, many residents of Lörrach braved the heat to celebrate the town’s International Summer Festival in Lörrach’s market square. Once again this year, Villa Schöpflin set up an interactive stand on the topic of preventing harmful media use.
At the stand, children from Year 4 onwards had the chance to demonstrate what they knew about the pros and cons of digital media. To this end, a method from the ‘Max & Min@’ school workshop was used. There was a selection of cards featuring various illustrations depicting digital media and their use. Children visiting the stand drew a card. They discussed the card together and pinned it to the noticeboard under either ‘Advantage’ or ‘Disadvantage’. As a thank-you for taking part, the children were allowed to choose a sweet, a freii sticker or a Villa Schöpflin pencil. Multilingual leaflets were available for adults.
