Three “peer educators” as part of the “HaLT-Peers at Driving Schools” project for the Lörrach district

New “HaLT Peers” for the “Stay Safe on the Road!” workshop at driving schools

04/01/2026

On March 9 and 10 and April 1, 2026, Villa Schöpflin trained three young adults to become “peer educators” as part of the “HaLT-Peers at Driving Schools” project for the Lörrach district.
“HaLT-Peers” are dedicated young people who independently offer the “Sicher unterwegs!” workshop at driving schools in their region. On the second day of the training, the program received support from the Traffic Prevention Unit of the Lörrach Police Department—for which we extend our heartfelt thanks.

In the workshop, the peers engage with driving students on an equal footing to discuss the risks of alcohol and other psychoactive substances in road traffic. The goal is to raise awareness and promote responsible behavior in potential drinking and driving situations.
We are delighted to welcome the three new HaLT peers and wish them every success in their upcoming assignments!

“HaLT Peers at Driving Schools” is part of the “HaLT – Hart am LimiT” program. The implementation of “HaLT – Hart am LimiT” is financially supported by public funds (e.g., from districts, municipalities, and states) and by statutory health insurance funds. Since 2019, the HaLT program has received funding from the GKV Alliance for Health with funds from statutory health insurance providers pursuant to Section 20a of the German Social Code, Book V (SGB V).
